Reporting & Administration

The Reports Menu provides the user with a powerful and flexible means to mine data based on a range of search parameters. ActiveReports.net, an award winning software from Data Dynamics Inc., is used as the web reporting tool. Report formats include pdf reports to print, save or email to others and Excel (xls) spreadsheet data extracts. Integrated report menus allow custom report 'scenarios' to be saved by user for commonly used reports and their parameters. The software also provides capability for graphs/charts, Acrobat pdf files, Excel data exports as well as user-defined headers/footers and other text inserts for standard reports.

Centralized administration features. Customizable tables for setup parameters, settings and user permissions allow significant flexibility for your unique operations. A high level of application security & user control is provided with with configurable permission assignments to system features by group and individual user accessed upon log-in. Log-in permissions and controls are provided to manage access to the system and specific features by individual system user.

Technical Aspects

Fully web-based environment. Developed with Microsoft Visual Studio and ASP.net. Access the system using a web-browser over the internet or your internal intranet. No special workstation settings or software are required to enable easy maintenance & upgrades.

Highly scaleable/open system architecture. The efficient normalized design takes full advantage of Microsoft SQL Server database to accommodate a large number of users and transaction data. FieldTrak provides 3 levels of organizational reporting of and control over daily operational data. Database architecture allows open exchange of data with AVL, GIS, route optimization and mobile applications.

Flexible, customizable setup tables. The setup table design allows significant flexibility for each customer application to reflect its own organization, operations and terminology. User-defined content within the pulldowns and other user controls provides data integrity and operational flexibility - including multi-level associations between controls (e.g., Type>Subtype).

Software As A Service (SaaS)

Being web-based, the Trakster suite can be implemented as an 'on-demand' software hosted on a secure, dedicated server. PWS provides the hardware, software and server maintenance/support typically provided by IT departments. This solution provides many benefits including fast implementation, no major upfront investment, no server software installations or maintenance and easy software updates. Training and test versions of the software can be easily deployed prior to 'go live' and used during operations.
